Sumit Paul, the first ever Bangladeshi completed Ironman Triathlon marathon competition

There is a saying that success is for the brave one who takes risk and never looks back in adventure. Many of us may not hear about the word-Ironman Triathlon*. Triathlon is the competition in which a contestant has to ride on hill by moving impassable roads or reach to a destination by swimming in rough tide rivers. People of this part of the world used to watch this in TV broadcasting or in Movies. But a Bengali made this to prove that Bangladeshi people also can do this happen.

The name of the Bangladeshi Bengali is Sumit Paul (Bengali: সুমিত পাল). He is an Electrical Engineer by profession. He had completed the Ironman Triathlon successfully which was held in Limburg of Netherland. He had taken 5 hours and 34 minutes to complete the marathon in which he had completed successfully 42.2 KM Marathon, 180.25 KM Cycle riding, and 3.86 KM swimming without any rest. He had taken 5 hours and 34 minutes in marathon, 7 hours and 29 minutes in cycling, and 1 hour and 29 minutes in swimming. A total of 900 participants were contested in this hardest event. He had completed this as the first ever Bangladeshi with a ranking of 660 out of 900.

In his personal life, he is working in BMW as an Engineer in Germany. He had completed his Bachelor degree from BUET in Electrical Engineering. Later he had completed his Master’s and PHD in Germany. He practices at least 15-20 hours in a week even in his busy schedule in professional life. He also attended in Barlin, Rome, Geneva and Frankfurt Marathon in 2010.
