This is another success story of the entrepreneurship of Bangladesh. The extensive fen of Sunamganj, a district of Bangladesh is always inundated under the water. As a result, Most of the children of this region can not reach to the formal education. BANGLADESH RURAL ADVANCEMENT COMMITTEE (BRAC), A Bangladesh origin organization but reputed in the international arena for microfinance, poverty reduction etc. has taken the initiative to bring the education to this students who have limited or no access to education.

This is branded as the education on boat. Recently two education boats were inaugurated in Bissomvorpur and Jamalpur upazila of Sunamganj. The primary level education will be continuing in this boat. This is known that the stand-alone village separated in the water of the extensive fen area is familiar in the local dialect as the Hati. ‘A boat will cover 3-4 such Hatis. The boat will carry the students from the Hati. A school madam will teach the students in the boat itself. At the end of the class, this boat will carry the students to their Hati. They can get the opportunity to participate in the annual exam as like the other formal primary schools available in Bangladesh.

F R Sarkar – First Bangladeshi to participate in zero gravity flight.

F R Sarkar.
He is the first Bangladeshi Bengali who experiences the weightlessness of the space.
F R Sarkar (Bengali:এফ আর সরকার), post-graduate of Dhaka University in political science, wants to turn his house (located in Enayetpur) into an astronomical museum. This is the reason he left the roof of his house open so that the sky can be visible clearly. The yard is full of green grass and the boundary wall is full with the images of universe.
This was happened in 24th may 2008. He experiences the Gravitation G (Zero G) by riding a space shuttle about 32 thousand feet above the earth. Every element of the world fells toward the center. The unit value of this is about 9.81. The gravitational acceleration is the acceleration of an element by which it fells into the earth. This value of moon is one sixth of the earth and one third of the earth in Mars. He experiences zero gravitational force and the gravitation of moon and mars. He dreams of making an Observatory and space agency in Bangladesh.
The bangastrosociety.org adds the following to describe Mr. F. R Sarker.
“He is the general secretary of Bangladesh Astronomical society participated in a zero gravity Flight to Experience ZERO Gravity Simulation aboard G-Force One, a Boeing 727 Aircraft operated by Zero Gravity Corporation, USA, Which took off from McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada on 24th May 2008. It flew for about 90 minutes and made about 15 parabolic flights which created zero gravity or weightlessness for about 30 seconds in each parabola allowing all the passengers remaining inside the aircraft to float like birds. It also created 1/6-G for Moon and 1/3-G for Mars to anticipate how men will feel when they visit moon and mars in future.
Earlier, Zero-G Flight (http://www.gozerog.com) was used only for the training purposes of the Astronauts of NASA but recently US administration has allowed zero gravity corporation, a private firm, to arrange it for the public who are enthusiastic for space. Eminent Astrophysicist, Stephen Hawking participated in zero gravity flight on 26th April, 2007. Mr sarkar is the first person from Bangladesh to participate in zero gravity flight. He is very excited with this adventurous flight and remarked that his zero gravity flight is “A small step for Bangladesh to enter into the arena of space flight.” He hopes that younger generation of Bangladesh will be encouraged by his zero gravity flight to study space science which is going to be the most vital subject in near future.
It may be mentioned here that Mr. Sarker is the publisher/editor of “Mohakash songbad” a space related Internet Bengali weekly Magazine which is widely read by the Bengali speaking people around the world (www.mohakashsongbad.com). He is the board director/coordinator of world space week association,(www.worldspaceweek.org), Member of space Education and Awareness working group of Asia-pacific space regional space agency forum (www.aprsaf.org) and Chair of Bangladesh Node, for international Astronomical Union for celebration of International year of Astronomy-2009 (www.astronomy2009.org) etc.
He attends International space related conferences including United Nations Committee on the peaceful uses of outer space (Un.COPUOS), in Vienna (www.unoosa.org). He is engaged in Astronomy and space research activities for over 35 years. Mr. Sarker professionally is a businessman. He hails from Enayetpur, A village of Sirajganj district where he has built up “Mohakash Bhaban” a space museum and established Enayetpur as the renowned space village in the world. He regularly arranges celebration of world space week in his village which is attended by thousands of students and space enthusiasts of the locality.”

Magic growth liquid fertilizer can bring a revolution in agricultural sector in a country like Bangladesh in agricultural production

Magic growth liquid fertilizer can bring a revolution in agricultural sector in a country like Bangladesh in agricultural production. The production is increased by 10 to 15% with this fertilizer. On the other hand, the usage of Urea is decreased up to 50% in the land. The inventor of Magic Growth fertilizer, Mr Arif Hossain, Agriculturist claimed, The GOVT of Bangladesh can save an amount of 17 core of dollar by ensuring the usage of this fertilizer. This fertilizer is to apply thorough spray. Around 1 lack 18 thousand hectare of land has been used in all over the country for the cultivation of rice during the season of Aush, Amon, Boro altogether. There will be a save of 6 Kg Urea for per Bigha (20 Kathas) if the usage of magic growth fertilizer is ensured. Thus there will be a saving of 5 lack and 31 thousand of Urea in a year whose market value is more than 1700 crore. On the other hand, if there is more production of 30 Kg rice for per Bigha, the production of rice will be increased to 26 lack ton whose market value is more than 4 thousand crore. This is known that 30 to 40 KGs of Urea has been applied for per Bighas for the farmer’s level in normal rice cultivation. If magic fertilizer is applied through spray, the usage of Urea fertilizer will be dropped to 10 to 15 Kg. This procedure is equal effective even in the coastal area. As the cultivation of rice become less profitable in the coastal area due to the Brackishness, and where there is no expected outcome for the salt endurance varieties, The Magic growth fertilizer brings the ray of light to the farmers.
The inventor of magic Growth fertilizer, Mr Arif Khan, got positive result while working on the technology stem Cutting and Sprout cutting for the production of Potato seed during 1994-96 by applying Sepro technology on the potato seed as an experiment. The Magic Growth fertilizer has come to this level after a continuous work for many days Later a wide success have been achieved after applying Magic growth fertilizer in Paddy field. Of Course there was a primary idea that the production of rice will be increased little if the Magic growth fertilizer is used as the additional doge. From the experience of a farmer, Iqbal hossan panna, This is known that His rice seed saved from cold injury with the usage of Magic growth fertilizer. Moreover, the production of rice is increased by applying the fertilizer in main filed production. And the usage of Urea is decreased. After this outcome, he had researched on this subject widely in farmer’s level in various part of the country. In every aspect, the effectiveness of magic growth fertilizer on the rice field is extremely well. There will be 8 advantages with the usage of Magic growth fertilizer-
1.Ensured the healthy and strong production of rice seed
2. There will be no harm of cold injury on the seed of rice
3. The seed of the rice is grown-up rapidly with the usage of this fertilizer
4.The seed of the rice is grown-up in rice -field as strong and healthily
5.The effective tender increased in number rapidly
6. There is no disturbance of diseases and bugs in the crop
7. More grain in the stem
8. The color of the ice is good and the growth of the rice is more and the unsubstantial of rice is less
Arif Khan told, he had invented this liquid fertilizer with 13 mineral items  and this provides the farmers a hope. As this fertilizer, invented with a prolong research for 13 years,  is working like magic, he had kept the name of the fertilizer as the Magic Growth. This fertilizer is also effective in the production of rice in salty soil. As per my knowledge, there is no research anywhere in the world including Bangladesh to produce more rice using Folier Feeding technique in ordinary soil or in salty soil.

This fertilizer is used in the village of MalTho, of Kopilmuni union, of PaikeGacha upazila, of Khulna district by a village farmer Islam Gazi on BRI 47 Rice. He added. Magic growth had been applied in 5 kathas of 1 bigha 7 kathas of land. The magic growth fertilizer is applied on top of the leaf of the paddy for 3 times during the whole season of Boro by spray. This is applied for first time 35 days after the seeding for the first time. And 14 days later for the second time and for the 3rd time 10 days later. This is found that The natural growth of the paddy has been increased with the usage of Magic growth fertilizer. The yellowish paddy turns to green. The tender of the rice has come out naturally. The production is natural on which the magic growth is applied. On the other hand, there was a saving of 15 kg of Urea for per Bighas of land. Almost all the paddy was died in the area where this fertilizer is not used. The tender has come out is small in length and the portion of Unsubstantial rice is more. That means there was a production fall around 90% in the salty land where magic growth fertilizer has not been applied. Noteworthy that Mr. Arif hossain khan, The inventor of magic growth fertilizer is a deputy director of BADC. And Now he is working in Pabna, a district of Bangladesh.

Wasfia Nazreen, A Bangladeshi born mount rider, reaches the mountain peak of the Mount Kilimanjaro

Wasfia Nazreen (Bengali: ওয়াসফিয়া নাজরিন), A Bangladeshi born mount rider, reaches the mountain peak of the Mount Kilimanjaro. This is the highest peak of Africa with a height of 19341 feet. She reached the peak in Sunday morning after a successive climbing for 6 days. Wasfia has been on a riding mission in the peak of 7 mountains in 7 continents of the world. In the second stage of her mission, she had ride in this mountain of Tanzania. She will be the first Bangladeshi if she succeeded in this mission. And she will get the nod of the world. And the flag of independent Bangladesh will be flying with motion in the peak of 7 mountains of 7 continents of the world. In this mission, she has to ride 113102 feet of height of the mountains in 7 continents altogether. In the meantime, the temperature of two continents is very low where there is no inhabitant of human being. The dream of Wasfia is to reach the target with confidence. No doubt, her dream is extremely difficult to achieve and full of excitement and thrilling. The death threat remains too. The realistic barrier is not less at all. She had been facing various obstacles from the very beginning of the mission. But she is successful on way to fulfill her dream. After climbing down from the peak of Kilimanjaro, she had been in front of BBC in last Monday. She expressed her experiences to BBC. She said that there were 6 more ways to climb Kilimanjaro and she had chosen the most difficult one to climb. This time there was no snow falls expected in this mountain. But there was a snow fall while her riding. This was a challenge for her to climb the peak by diffusing the cool stone of Ice.
She had started off the country in 3rd July 2011 in order to conquer the peak of her first choice of mission list. The name of the peak is Mount Albrose which is adjacent to the border of Russian-Georgia. The southern side of the mountain had been closed due to the terrorist threat possibilities since February. But this side is the main way to climb the mountain. She had climbed from northern side as the southern way had been closed. This way is more difficult. Wasfia and her team mates had tried in 10th July for climbing. But she had restricted herself due to the bad weather.  She had succeeded to climb 300 meter of the mountain in 12th July. She was forced to come back due to the bad weather and fixed time limitation. She will climb the remaining 300 meter depend on the situation of the weather.  The highest peak of South Africa is Ekon Kaguai with a height of 22841 feet. She will climb this peak in next December. The highest peak of North America is Dinali or Mekingly Mountain in Alaska with a height of 20320 feet. She will climb this mountain in next year.
Wasfia had faced difficulties in order to continue the expenditure. She had sold her mothers ornaments. Even she had sold her land that she got as an heir of her father. This was the primary support of her journey. But in one stage, she got financial assistance from Mutual Trust Bank and Renata Limited, Bangladeshi own companies in all of a sudden. She had called for the support for her mission to the all state owned companies. The flag of Bangladesh will be waved on the top peak of all continents of the world if she will be succeeded in her attempt. She had told in an interview with BBC that she will not come back from her mission target even if the mission takes a time of decade.
In an interview in last Monday with BBC regarding the objective of the Mission, She had told that Bangladesh completes 40th year of her independence.  Her objective is to circulate the news of the 40th year of independence of Bangladesh, and the progress of women in 40 years. She wants to prove that even the women of Bangladesh can climb the peak of the mountain. In a satellite message in Europe by quoting the speech of Wasfia said that the young generation of the country has to move straight forward by keeping the martyrs of the liberation war ahead. This is the time for the recognition of Bangladesh for the world. Bangladesh will move ahead more and more.

Floating vegetable cultivation in Najipur, an upazila of Pirojpur district of Bangladesh.

The farmers of the marshy region of Nazirpur Upazila, district of Pirojpur, got wide success in seed production and cultivation of agriculture product through floating vegetable cultivation (Bengali: ভাসমান সবজি চাষ) with local technology totally in the unusable land submerged under water. This procedure of the production of more productive seedling and vegetable cultivation had become popular gradually by using the local made organic fertilizer in spite of chemical fertilizer with floating vegetable cultivation.

The floating vegetable cultivation of seedling and commercial cultivation is done in the low land areas of pirojpur like Dewolbari, Dobra, Malikhali, MugharJhore of Dirgha union, KolarDoyania, Dirgha, Boitha Katha, Kholni, Meda, Sachia, Pakuria, GaoKhali, PadmoDubi, Bill Dumuria and in the unused land of other villages.

This type of cultivation is known as floating cultivation as the cultivation is entirely floating on the water. The marshy region of Nazirpur became well-known by one name in entire Bangladesh only due to this floating cultivation. This is known that the above mentioned 3 unions are submerged under water in most of the time of the year as this area is within a marshy region of Bangladesh. As a result, there is no crops cultivation is possible in this land naturally. This land is left as a fallow land with full of water-hyacinth, Dulali Ban, Sheoyla (water born plants), and Grass year after year. In order to get rid of this situation, the farmers of these areas collectively had taken initiatives in 2 decades back for a try to cultivate crops by making numbers of Kandi (Ridge) by putrefying natural water born water-hyacinth, Dulali Ban, Sheoyla and succeeded in their attempt. And now this become a part of the history of success to cultivate on water as floating cultivation for over populated country where millions of people living below extreme poverty line.
