Osman Gani knew no border during his walking of 11 thousand miles
This is the year of 1962 when Osman Gani (Bengali: ওসমান গণি) was a student of just class eight in Chilmari High School. Two of The citizen of united Pakistan came to his area to travel the world with Cycle. With the inspiration of this incident, Osman Gani made his mind-up to travel the world on foot and gone to Dhaka to learn English in an English medium school of old Dhaka. After learning English, he had started off by 27th April 1964 from Tecnaf with just twenty Taka, Haversack, Shirt, pant lungi in hand. He had gone to West Pakistan after roaming upto Tecnaf. Later he had gone to 22 countries including Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Vietnam, Hong kong, Philippine, Indonesia, Nepal, and Afghanistan, India on foot. During his walk he had been traveling for 11 thousand miles on foot.

He belongs to the Chilmari upazila, Kurigram district. Now he is passing his days in the village Tobokpur of Ulipur Upzila, Kurigram.
